Leah is a really fun friend, who is very out-going. A rare thing to find at UofC, where I met her. She is a really sweet person, and I hope she truly meets the waldorf salad man of her dreams.

If Leah had a bagpipe, you could just
refer to her as "that girl who plays the
bagpipe". And everyone would know
exactly who you were talking about,
because they've totally seen the
bagpipe girl. They'd be all like, "Oh, you
mean Leah? How's she doing?"

That's pretty much her thing... we've all

Leah's awesome! She told me a friend
of hers once dated the oldest Hanson
brother. Who would have thought that
I would ever be friends with someone
so close to greatness? Not that Leah
isn't great herself, because she is.
Leah also loves obscure Wilco
connections. She's like the big
sister I never had. Maybe someday we
can learn to drive together.

Leah is proof positive that you can
take a girl out of Waukomis, but you
can't take Waukomis out of a girl...or
maybe not. She's a perfect mix of small
town sensibility and big city panache.
Not only is she one of the sharpest
knives in the drawer, but she sharpens
the knives around her as well...and you
don't even have to know the sine of
theta to benefit from her wisdom. Be
good to Leah, and she may just make you
tapes, send you movies, and teach you
what is cool and what is not. I'm proud
to be her hedgehog.

In addition to being a great friend to
talk seeecrets with, Leah is 80 percent
responsible for getting me out of my
dorm room when freshman nervousness kept
me in there, and she is 100 percent
responsible for proving that I am still
ticklish. QED

In Leah's words, I knew her when she was
*really* weird. Though that may not be
assurance to anyone currently bedazzled
by her wonderful ecccentricities, she is
now quite normal in comparison. But
she's still every bit as vibrant and
imaginative, and I'm glad to be her friend.
