MORNING: Trying to wake-up for a 7:30 AM breakfast while recovering from the previous night's clubbing hangover. Avoiding demerits for being late or sleeping in Chinese Language Class. __AFTERNOON:Taking one of the following Culture Classes..Chinese Yo-Yo, Paper-folding, Chinese Knotting, Craft Making, Paper Cutting, Flour Figurines, Chinese Painting, Calligraphy, Southern Fiddle, Zither, Chinese Flute, Chinese Dancing, Chinese Cooking, Praying Mantis, Sword-Fighting, Stick-Fighting__Seeing Afternoon Performances and Events: Chinese Dancers, Chinese Acrobats, Chinese Opera, Boring Brain-Washing lectures, Counselor Performances, Speech Contest, Talent Show, Slave Auction.__EVENING: Exploring Shi-Lin Night Market. Shopping for Cheap Stuff. Enjoying the Night Market food including Stinky Tofu, bubble tea, and roasted corn. Buying booze at 7/11 to pre-drink._CLUBBING: Sneaking out and heading to KISS, FEVER, 2 Kinky, Sex-A-Go-Go, Nite11, Edge, KTV CASHBOX, MTV__Start Cycle over next day :)

When a group of us started this Loveboat group, its purpose was to help find long-lost loveboat friends and to help keep in touch. We are proud that this site served its purpose and was successful beyond our imaginings.
Nothing lasts forever and even this website will eventually become obsolete. However, we hope the fond memories that were experienced 10 years ago will continue to last a lifetime. That being said, a new site on Facebook has been started which is actually a better platform than than friendster. The link is:

Again, who knows how long that site will even last. However, hopefully through the many coming years people will continue to kindle the flames of friendship that were started in that fateful summer of 1997. Thank you all for joining and supporting this site.
The place - none other then Las Vegas aka Sin City!! When - Spring break in March because in the summer it goes up to 110 degrees in Vegas.
I need a heads up for who would be open to this idea. We all have kept in touch with our friends from that summer so why not reunite!

The trip reignited my love for travel and my passion for food. I still call people years after the trip and because of it I have been able to meet them in Switzerland, Hong Kong, Shanghai, New York, Toronto, Philly, SF, LA, Vancouver, Vegas, etc. "Love" most definitely, "Boat" no, not really but even the captain couldn't control that magical vibe that flowed through the people of Loveboat 1997. ~rootz~
THE most amazing trip in my life.
Although time has dulled the memories a
tad, the emotions are still strong....my
favorite people were: Janny, Ben, Joey,
Sophia, Tim, Max, and Ada. Nothing will
ever replace that cosmic combination of
youth, identity, eros, fellowship, and travel.
Thanks everyone for the memories past
and for the chance to make more.
