      • Three years ago, Lydia introduced me to Smog. She could be ugly (although her rapturous beauty has flushed febrile the tenuous cheeks of my heart since I first beheld her visage) or talentless (although she writes like the reincarnation of William Carlos Williams, such concision, such a vision) or daft (although her insights into asthetics are prodigous for when I met her at seventeen she knew more of culture than I now know at twenty-five) and there would still be the unalienable catharic joy that she told me to buy Smog records. Thank you for being of such use.

      • It's true. Plesiosaurs are extremely awesome. But If I were to measure the awesomeness of Lydia, I would have to say her awesomeness more closely resembles that of a narwhal. Which is to say, of course, that her awesomeness is beyond the scope of other mere terrestrial, hornless creatures. Who aren't musically snobbish. Or lovely.

      • i've known lydia for 15 years. she rather reminds me of a pleiseosaurus: both are graceful creatures who enjoy basking in the sun and eating small marine animals. then again, lydia is not extinct, and the pleiseosaurus, lacking not only opposable thumbs but also fingers and hands, would find it hard to be as crafty as lydia. actually, now that i think about it, lydia is ten times cooler than a pleiseosaurus. so nevermind.

      • Lydia is a really rocking-ass gal. She'd
fucking well better be staying out of
trouble, because she's worth it. That's
        what I think.

      • Defying categorization, Lydia actively
has conquered new territories, and has
        gained international recognition for the
        innovative quality of her work.
        However we are merely connected
through a short series of life-changing
        events.

      • There's this character in "Wet Hot American
Summer" - a girl who, when told that skylab will
collide with her summer camp in three hours,
replies, "That's only two mixtapes!" This line
always makes me think of a Lydia.

      • Lydia is a real societal luminary, and a
philanthropist to boot. As of yet, she's the only
        multiple contributor to my illustrious
        Friendster-testimonial-portfolio, a distinction which
puts her in the runnings for a free fruit basket, to
be decided by random drawing, courtesy of the

        Congratulations Lydia, you encyclo-pedia, you're
the first name in the hat.

      • lydia, you have a new friendster photo
where you are wearing a winter coat,
and a new "occupation" but i would
like some other sign that you are in
fact alive and well. also, i have a
little tip that listing your shoe size
and possibly its conversion into other
        coutries' measurement systems on your
        profile would be advantageous.
