About Me:
I'm a senior psychology major at Pepperdine University in Malibu, Californ-I-A, and I will be graduating this coming April! Could life get any better? Well, I guess it can... I am doing SEMESTER AT SEA this fall, which I'm pretty sure will be one of the best experiences of my life. If any of you ever watched Road Rules, Semester at Sea was on the 8th season of that show. I will be on a huge cruise ship with 700 other students from all over the country. Our voyage takes off in Ensenada, Mexico and goes to Hawaii, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, India, Egypt, Croatia, Turkey, Spain, and then ends in Miami, Florida. We will spend about 5 days in each country and take classes through the University of Virginia while we are on the ship, so basically it's like a 100-day cruise with an academic twist. The world will be our classroom, and we will wake up and see something new out our windows everyday. Now that is how I like my life to be... unpredictable and fun! Predictability is boring! I'll keep y'all posted as my departure date (Aug. 25th) draws close, and once we take off, I'll keep updating my pictures so that you can experience the voyage with me through my eyes. Be sure to visit my blog www.melissaroyatsea.blogspot.com on a regular basis to keep up with where I am and what I'm doing!
