The story of Mocca began in 1997, when Riko Prayitno (Guitars) and Arina Ephiphania (Vocals/Flute) left a cover band due to boredom and lack of originality in the music they make. Drummer Indra Massad and Bassist Achmad Pratama (Toma) didn't join until two years later. But as they say, good things come to those who wait. Another two years later on April 1, 2002, Mocca got their first record deal with Fast Forward Records and made a splash in the indie pop scene in Bandung and Jakarta with their debut album My Diary.
