Northern Samar Colleges, formerly Northern Samar Academy, is a private, non-sectarian, co-educational, and technical-vocational institution established in the year 1950. It is situated in Catarman, the Capital Town of Northern Samar. At present, it offers complete education for pre-school, grade school, high school, and college. The College Department offers programs leading to a bachelor's degree in the following: Secondary & Elementary Education, Office Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, and Criminology. Also, the school offers vocational, technical, and short-term courses accredited by TESDA such as Computer Secretarial, Computer Technician, Computer Programming, Computer Science in Information Technology, and Caregiver Course. The High School and Elementary Departments implement the Revised Basic Education Curriculum frameworked by the Department of Education with advance classes in Mathematics, Science, Computer Education, and Journalism.

In 2005, the Northern Samar Colleges (formerly Northern Samar Academy) successfully celebrated its 55th Founding Anniversary held from May 5th to May 8th through a series of events such as the Welcome Night, Musical and Dance Presentation, games and sports, Medical and Dental Mission, the Grand Alumni Night, and a Beach Party. The school and its alumni look forward to the next Grand Alumni Homecoming in the Year 2010.
