O Channel - Jakarta's Own Channel - is the first, privately owned, local television station in Jakarta. On-air since August 9, 2004 (where the channel was available on a restricted basis for trial broadcasting), the channel is now fully broadcast to the people of Jakarta and its greater area as of May 2005, as a "Lifestyle, Entertainment & City Centric Channel.

O Channel's focus is on quality lifestyle & entertainment programming, while at the same time being a city centric, Jakarta relevant channel. The Channel will introduce a completely new look, sound, and feel to the Indonesian television landscape. The station's high quality original programming, together with its stylish presentation of acquired programming, will provide a distinctly alternative TV channel to the viewers in Jakarta. O Channel has a unique and highly visible studio set up that will integrate with its programming presentation.
The aim of the channel is to provide a new standard of television, focused on and seeking to directly engage the people of Jakarta.
