      • Here I go again thinking about what can I write for Today’s personal journal. As I gaze around me, I was quite worried about the time that I will consume on the thinking process. My mind seems unconditioned maybe because I really feel tired. All I wanted to do is to lay down and get a good rest. So I keep on looking on the wall clock behind me to check the time once in a while. In fact, I am counting every minute that passes. Suddenly, I thought of the value of time and it seems I got an idea now on what to write. :-)

It has always been our mindset that “there would always be tomorrow” to the things that we supposed to accomplish. Later on, “we reap what we have sown” as what’s being said. And what must be expected? Of course we suffer the consequences of procrastination.

      • Most people fail to treasure time…every moment of their lives. And it is true that regret comes last. An unwise decision made can have a drastic outcome in the future. Sometimes, I wish I could go back in the past to straight up the crooked; to correct the mistakes that I committed. If I could only travel back in time, then perhaps I would love to. So I could undone what I’ve done wrong and unsaid the negative things that I’ve said. If I could just bring back the moments when I failed to cherish each moment, just because I got busy with my own life businesses, I would do everything to make it worthwhile. If I could only return in the years backwards, then I would enjoy my life and do things better. I would show my affection more to people who are important to me, yet I failed to show them.

There are still chances for us to go back to the place where we used to go, but never with time again. We could always be with people whom we used to be with, yet we can never bring back the exact moments we spent with them. Nevertheless, there’s still good point about it. It is true that we can never bring back the yesterday. But through those mistakes and experiences that we encountered, we come to realize the value of things. we learn to give importance to some moments, people, happenings and things that matter to us. Moreover, we become wiser and better individuals. And we come to understand that God has always a plan for all of us. In God’s perfect time, we know that everything happened for a reason. And that reason is teach us to lean on him more. One quote goes like this:

        To realize the value of one month, ask a mother who gave birth to a premature baby;

        To realize the value of one week, ask an editor of a weekly newspaper beating for his deadline;

        To realize the value of one hour, ask lovers whoa re waiting to meet each other;

        To realize the value of one minute, ask a person who just missed a train;

        and to realize the value of a second, ask a person who just avoided an accident”

        From reading one of my favorite books, I learned that Time is a precious gift from God. people can earn more money but can’t make more time. When we are giving somebody our time, we are giving them a portion of our lives that we can never get back. Sometimes, it is not enough to say that relationships are important; we still need to prove it by investing time with the people we love. The bible says, “Whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone” (Gal. 6:10).

      • We must do what we ought to do NOW because we will never know how long we could have the chance to express it and do it. This world is never constant. Everything changes, everything fades away. People die. And different circumstances may happen abruptly. We don’t have the assurance of what will happen tomorrow or later. If we need to do things, then we must take heart to do it. If we need to express untold sentiments in our hearts, then we must let it come out. And if we must show our love for people whom we care, then now is the time.
