If you stare at the center + for a while, you will start seeing a green dot appear. There really is no green dot. If you keep staring at it, you will see the green dot eat all the pink dots. Did the pink dots really go away? Is there really only the green dot? Why suppose reality is exactly what we see? There's every reason to accept that what we perceive is really the model our brain builds for us as to what reality is like. And while certainly every cliff may not be seen by our brains the way it exists in reality, it is still useful to perceive a cliff even if it consists of a lack of densely packed quantum particles exerting an electromagnetic normal force to counteract the force of gravity. =]

Neutrinos are elementary particles that travel close to the speed of light, lack an electric charge, are able to pass through ordinary matter almost undisturbed, and are thus extremely difficult to detect. Neutrinos have a minuscule, but non-zero, mass too small to be measured as of 2007.
Most neutrinos passing through the Earth emanate from the sun, and more than 50 trillion solar electron neutrinos pass through the human body every second. =]
