Push Play

Destined to make a serious impact on the pop landscape, Push Play is Long Island, NY’s answer to the flood of teen/tween. Recently dubbed the "new fab four" by Newsday, this band of 4 fresh faced boys have also been featured on the cover of the NY Times (Long Island Section), on the cover of Newsday, in Tiger Beat/Bop, J-14 and Popstar! Magazine, at the Z100 Zootopia Preshow at the Izod Center, on MTV's TRL and in many other incredible media situations usually only attainable by famous major label acts. The band has become a household name in NY, selling out or playing near capacity shows at the legendary Irving Plaza, at Nokia Theatre – where they were the first unsigned band ever to grace the stage there - and at The Blender Theatre at Gramercy in the span of the last 9 months. Their first CD release, “Deserted”, stayed in the top 100 for the first 2 weeks on iTunes, which is unheard of by an unsigned band that had not begun touring outside the tri-state area.

The quartet consists of CJ Baran, lead singer, rhythm guitarist and keyboards, Steve Scarola, lead guitarist and keyboards, Nick DeTurris, bass, and Derek Ries, drummer. They are smart and charismatic and true role models, engaging fans at every performance and managing to build their fan base one fan at a time.

What sets them apart from the rest is quite simple: PURPOSE! Their Push Play for Purpose campaign has received national recognition as they made their way to other states donating their performance to helping people in need. Their philanthropic efforts through this "Purpose" tour have enabled them to raise over $100,000 for a multitude of charities and to perform for free at all of the events.

This upcoming summer Push Play will be releasing their second album, “FOUND”. The button’s been pushed, all systems are a go, and there is no turning back now; “position changed they’re ready for the next round!” to quote lyrics from their smash single THE LIFE! and for Push Play, the life has only begun.
