      • rakhi is the coolest cousin ever...she
is beautiful, funny and smart...i think
she knows EVERYONE in chicago, and most
of all, she's a great pen pal :) rakhi
was actually my first pen pal ever---we
started writing to eachother when we
probably were 6, even before we met! i
        still have all her letters...hey
        rockso, what are your favorite
        colors? :)

      • Alright Rakhi, here's what you've been
        waiting for...another testimonial about
how great of a person you are. I know
this is what you live for and is the
true reason why you try to get everyone
to join friendster! You know I'm
kidding! Anyways, I have to say that
Rakhi is truly a best friend to
everyone that knows her and she
continues to be one of the most warm-
hearted, generous, zainy people I know.
I'm grateful to consider her one of my
great friends despite our distance for
quite a while. BTW-- is this picture
        post-Japanese styling?

      • Once you've met Rakhi, you will never
forget her. She's the best. Funny,
friendly, and all around awesome. She
also was a great Oscar the Grouch...

      • Back in the mid to late 90's, Rakhi and
I were best friends. Once she asked me
to come with her to take her mom to
Midway Airport at 6 in the morning and
afterwards we sat in the parking lot of
a diner where I fixed the Patel car
stereo that had been broken for two
        years.

can do a healthcare freestyle rap to
        the tune of Jay-Z's H-to-the-IZZO...

      • Um, Indian music should have been listed
first, as your top fave, in music, not
        last! ;)

Tons of fun, makes you laugh, reliable,
        selfless, organized (an attribute to
        note here, but very characteristic)--
this girl can teach anyone to learn,
sing and dance to Indian music.

...and if she ever wanted to quit her
day job, she is damn good at
free-styling to any rap song out there.

        I love this girl!

      • I agree, Rakhi does tell some amazing
stories.. that is, whenever she isn't
falling asleep on the phone while
talking to you. (ok, ok I forgive you
for my west coast time.) I recommend
everyone to tell Rakhi their birthday
so that she can sing the extra-special
        self-composed "Birthday Song to you.
Ask her also to do the special dance
where she kicks her legs wildly from
side to side (reminiscent of New Kids
on the Block Hangin' Tough style). But
overall this girl is wonderfully sweet,
        huggable, optimistic, and always makes
me smile. Am I still one of your baist
        friends too? :)

      • Rak-aish really means it when she says
she loves to sing, dance..more like
she loves to SING AND DANCE..and like
our friend Grover would say "and how!".
she is my best friend and I am very
proud to say that I am one of her 1000
best friends. I am constantly in awe
of her patience, ability to listen,
willingness to add method to others
madness and uncanny knowledge of every
        Indian in the country!!!!!!!!

      • Dipal really hit it on the head with
his description of Rakhi. Her fashion
sense is what initially draws everyone
        towards her (see her luggage
collection and the pic above), and her
love and soft, soothing voice is what
        keeps you there.
She advocates for Chicago with a bit
of blind affection, but you know how
        you midwesterners do.
I think she has a sister, but she is
tight-lipped about her family, so let
me know if you find anything out.
all and all, rakhs is the bomb, and you
fo sho want to get to know her. if she
        hadn't denied all my previous
advances, i may have had different
things to say, but you never know what
        the future may bring.
anyway, if you get a chance, tell her
a story and she'll gladly return the
        favor.
