Ravindran Drama Group was formed in 1988 by a group of young people, fired with enthusiasm to do something unique and dynamic for Tamil Theatre. The group was formally known as Youth Drama Group and was renamed Ravindran Drama Group (RDG) in memory of our friend, the late G. Ravindran. It was his vision, to keep Tamil theatre alive, which sparked the formation of the group.

Hey people!! RDG is holding an inter-school drama competition known as ARANGAM. Through ARANGAM students can establish their talent in acting in theatre dramas. All JC, poly and ITE students are welcomed to participate and show your talent. It would be held in a series of events.

7th Feb- Workshop covering the important aspects of theatre drama. (Conducted by professional actors)
7th Mar-Preliminary rounds
(Competition will be held and judged in SYF format, top three winners are given the chance to perform their plays in front of the public)
28th Mar-Workshop would be conducted for the winners
17th Apr-Technical run
18th April-Final show
