the easiest way to manipulate other people is to convince them that you have a common enemy. this common enemy must allegedly have access to something you all want but do not have. envy is an excellent motivator. confidence is often a form of self-delusion. so powerful that it hynotizes other people..

do you know wat its like to be a true believer, to cling to an idea even when the possibility of its becoming a reality has dwindled to nothing? you can get bludgeoned with the facts, your faith can waver, you can feel like an idiot, but you never really let it go because its become part of your definition of the world. and then it actually comes to pass, and your stunned because maybe the chasm between wat the world is and what you want it to be has shrunk by one millimeter? you know what i'm saying? because i don't.. ^-^
