Right on Dynamite is ready to unveil its eagerly anticipated debut single, “Won’t Let It Go” b/w “Wrong, Too Right.” Recorded at NYC’s world famous DFA Studios, the limited edition single – on Brooklyn’s own Standpipe Records – was produced by Matt Thornley (LCD Soundsystem) and mixed by Roger Greenawalt (Ben Kweller, Aberfeldy, the Pierces).

Right on Dynamite is a three man rock ‘n roll combo, currently residing in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Dan, Nicky, and Jon have been mates since high school, playing together in a couple of other outfits before finally taking the reins themselves as the mighty RoD. They’ve been making a righteous racket ever since, busting out exceptionally addictive guitarpop fuelled by scrappy energy, sly wit, and a seemingly endless supply of hip-shakin’, hand-clappin’ hooks.

The trio has earned high praise from such publications as Time Out New York, which hailed their gleeful tuneage as “fun, up-tempo stuff – sort of like the Strokes, minus the stern posturing.” “They just sound better than the other semi-indie bands out there,” noted New York Press, while L Magazine enthused, “A promising rough-edged, sweet-centered local act…who distill everything good about every band that's ever practiced in a suburban basement that has a couch, rug, TV, and cement floor.” The reverberations have even been heard across the Atlantic, with NME going plumb nutty over the band they’ve decreed to be “effortlessly brilliant” and “flipping marvelous.”

What’s more, Right on Dynamite has proven an online sensation, spending nearly one solid year as a top 10 favorite on NME’s “Breaking Bands” site. Tracks from the band’s three-track debut demo have logged countless streams on the band’s own MySpace page, as well as via a number of prominent music blogs. In addition, songs have received radio airplay from coast-to-coast, including spins at two hugely influential stations, LA’s KROQ and NJ’s WFMU.

A loose-limbed, amped-up live act, Right on Dynamite has brought its flipping marvelousness to venues all over NYC, including the Mercury Lounge, Knitting Factory, Luna Lounge, Union Pool, Crash Mansion, and Northsix. The band currently hosts and performs at Broken Record, its own enormously popular shindig held monthly at Greenpoint’s Lost & Found.
