Formed in the year 2004, SALAMIN is a band composed of U.P. And DLSU students. Paulo Valenciano, on Vocals, Sho Hikino on Lead Guitar, Mikael Bersales on Bass, Miguel Dualan on Rhythm Guitar and Eo Marcos on Drums

Most met only during the first jamming session August 2004. First they called themselves Bastogne named after a French town during the second world war. But they felt the name lacked character. and so they changed their name to Salamin.

The band got its first offer in August of 2005 from Viva records. But Salamin wasnt ready for such an offer at that time. And after a few changes,
Salamins sound progressed to heavy pop. Jr and his grunge influences fusing it with Paolo's melodic vocals and elements of prog rock from Miks and Bogs.

Salamin had one of their best gigs December 2005 at Cafe Saguijo. And got their second offer from Star Records early January of 2006.
Under Nugen records, Salamin has released their first album. With help from Reg Rubio (Greyhoundz) and Patrick Tirano (Monkeyspank) who have agreed to produce. Their video is also out featuring their first single, Umaga. Salamin was also MTVs rising star of the month for December 2006.

Salamin is currently working on their 2nd album and hopefully to be released this year 2009! =p please do support us! and check out our new songs! thanks a lot! ^^
