...BRIEF HISTORY OF ZETA PHI OMEGA...

Before the Zeta Phi Omega was found it was an organization called IOG (International Order of the Guardians)
founded in Wides, Milla England by King Philip II on December 30, 1852

After many years the organization called Zamboanga Peace and Order by Mayor Ceasar Climaco

Then Zeta Phi Omega was incepted by seven Friends in Pasonanca Zamboanga City, Philippines last August 26, 1975. Danilo A. Barrios, Nelson Guerrero, Gilbert Caceras, Arthur M. Barrios, Jackie Bernardo, Josie Sta Teresa and Roger Salantandre were all in Pasonanca on that faithful day for thier weekly fellowship

While shooting the afternoon zephyrs, over bytes of gulucinas, the Brother-Founder suggested that the youth of the city must be provided with wholesome venue whereby the youth of the city may express thier energy, vision and enthusiasm. After a lengthy discussion


a consensus was reached with the six friends requesting a brother founder to write the constitution, rites of initiation, the hierarchy of officers, the logo, password, motto, the laws and the vows of a fraternity which they have agreed to call


ZETA PHI OMEGA. The Brother-Founder agreed on condition that his six friends will agree to be his co-founders. The constitution was written at 4:00 pm and finished some minutes after 8:00 pm.
The first fellowship, the password was whispered for the first time and so was the handshake exchange for the first time

The first
ZETA of the world signed with the constitution with their blood and a few minutes later, a blood compact was held under the full of a late summer moon


The History of the Fraternity

"Sedes Lux Et Sapientia"

Zeta Phi Omega was incepted by seven friends in Pasonanca Zamboanga City, Philippines last August 26, 1975. They were Danilo A. Barrios, Nelson Guerrero, Gilbert Caceras, Arthur M. Barrios, Jackie Bernardo, Josie Sta Teresa and Roger Salantandre. It was founded with the motivation that the youth of the city must be provided with wholesome venue whereby they may express their energy, vision and enthusiasm in the spirit of unity.

Through generations, the members of the organization, with the help of the founders, have prided themselves in building both a professional and social fraternity. The fraternity has strengthened and perpetuated the feeling of brotherhood. Today, the fraternity believes in the promotion of professionalism within the brotherhood and throughout the organization.

Our reputation for professionalism and social involvement is well known throughout Zamboanga City. Our brotherhood consists of a wide range of members interms of interests and different skills. Among the fraternitys traditional purposes is the enrichment of its members, academically, morally, and socially. We sponsor several events throughout the year, including charity fundraisers, campus improvement activities, and social events with various organizations on our campus and other campuses all over our hometown.

Our organization is always on the lookout for strong, enthusiastic, and personable young men who possess leadership qualities and intelligent minds to enhance and contribute to our brotherhood.
