i was going through some pics from a
trip to italy the other day, and ran
across a pic of susan sitting beside me
on the plane ride home. she was
wrapped like a cadaver with an airplane
blanket over her head blocking out the
light and air. it was just as funny
photographed as it had been in the
plane.
I met susan in the painting dept. of UT
in 1997. Since then she has continued
to amaze me. Her work is fascinating,
original, & poetic. She is an avid
reader & knows more about artists'
lives than just about anyone I
know...but not only is Susan smart &
talented, she is also fun and has a
super-silly side. I wish her the best
of luck this fall in Chicago...
