I'm here because my partner Sam is an extrovert :-)

Okay, okay. I'm in the process of figuring out who I am all
over again, as things seem to be in flux. I've been "The
Mommy" for years now, and that doesn't fit so well any
more. I've recently gone back to school after a 15-year
hiatus, studying "technical and professional
communications" at Southern Polytechnic State University
(Southern Poly for short).

I spent much of the last four years homeschooling my daughter. A lot of that involved giving her access to resources and getting out of her way (aka: driving lots). She decided to give high school a try this year. Why am I not driving any less? That worked out oddly.

I'm writing a book or three. I'm a singer looking for a group to sing with - the one Sam and I were with died just after we left it (not because of us).

I enjoy playing D&D and other roleplaying games, but I'm an
elitist - absolutely spoiled by the world-class GM in my
life. I love good conversation, Suisse Mocha and foot
rubs. I prefer watching DVDs at home to going out to see
movies. I like going to see live music in small venues. I
used to dance regularly (social dancing - cha cha, swing,
etc.) and would like to do so again. I want to try
whitewater rafting again.

A former SO's other girlfriend described me as a "guy-girl"
because I'm not "girly enough." I'm not butch at all, but I
don't get into "talking about the relationship" and so on.
I don't like "chick flicks." I have zero interest in any
kind of social games and I don't play them well.

There ya go.

A friend who can keep me up all night talking without me
realizing how late it is? I notice tall, substantially-
built men but I certainly don't limit possibilities based
on physicality. Make me laugh. I have a dreadful weakness
for acoustic guitarists.

You'll have to hit me with a clue-by-four if you're
interested in me at all, because I don't pick up on that
kind of thing well.
