Dream Carousel: Indie / Pop / Jazz

Dream Carousel is an Indie Pop Jazz inspired band, listening to the likes of the late Frank Sinatra, Petula Clark, The Beatles, Barry Manillow, Club 8, Camera Obscura, Mocca, Swan Dive. Their music can be described as uplifting, refreshing and relaxing.

The band was formed on July 1, 2008 by Ace Del Mundo of the former band Orange and Lemons and now with the Pop band Kenyo, with his idea of forming an Indie Pop band with a blend of Jazz music, in his hometown in Bulacan, and basically hand-picked it’s members namely; Allan Vergel De Dios (drums), Mark Tolentino (guitars), JP Ignacio (bass), Roel Dela Cruz (Trumpet) and Ria Alonzo (vocals).

The group’s strength and bond was tested by fate when Ria Alonzo makes her exit from the band on Mid-September 2008 due to some major reasons that she has to leave the country.

After the exit of Ria, the band decided to open an audition to find its new front woman. Feared that no one is going to fit the band’s distinctive style, hope was never been an option for them.

After spending few weeks in the studio searching, the band finally welcomes its new colleague, Jam Hillario, a sassy lady from Meycuayan, Bulacan, vowed to commit her self to the band’s camaraderie.

Dream Carousel once again continued their journey to the music scene, starting off with their cover songs from The Beatles, Carpenters, Petula Clark and Barry Manillow, and lately developed their skills in song writing for their own original compositions such us “Merry-go-round”, “No Matter What” and “These Little Things” which describes the things that makes our life joyful, fun and exciting.
