people who have a brain of their own, not loaned out to a
particular faction. people that prefer coffee shops to bars.
people that have opinions, aren't afraid to express them and
aren't assholes :)
I have never actually met unfurl in
person, only his IRC stage presence and
the occasional email. I think I talked
to him on the phone once, but it wasn't
phone sex, so I don't remember. I
should, if the universe were not a
cruel whore bent on my destruction, be
living in his garage, dying of
allergies and electromagnetic
radiation. Anyway, unfurl is just one
of those people. Even through the all
the limitations of IRC, unfurl still
comes through as an intensely
intelligent artistic type faintly
disillusioned that being a good person
isn't quite enough in a world filled
with not so nice people. As he says so
often, "fuckingcockslobberslimycuntbitch
." Isn't he just as cute as a button?
We all love him, yes we do.
bill (a.k.a. unfurl) has been a friend
of mine since 1997. i first met him in
tucson, arizona under less-than-perfect
circumstances, but after one day, we
were hanging out having a good time.
bill was my roommate for about a year,
and has been my very good friend for 5
years. he is crafty, curious,
thoughtful, and kindhearted. he is on
my very short list of people i would
unconditionally trust.
not only have i lived with bill, but
i've also worked with him at my last
three jobs.
I met Bill through an old highschool
friend of mine that ended up as his
roommate for a while. Since then,
we've had a few adventures which were
all a lot of fun. His recent interest
in geocaching spurred me to buy a GPS
and give the sport a shot, although I
haven't had the chance yet. We keep in
touch on IRC, and he's provided me with
many, many digital resources. One of
these days I'll get enough free time
and money together to go visit him (and
my other friends in California).
Bill is my closest friend (aside from my
wife of course). He is one of the
warmest, most genuine people who I have
ever known. I feel comfortable sharing
anything with Bill, and I would never
hesitate to contact him if I was ever in
need. Everything that I do with Bill is
more fun as a result of him being there.
