Reading (if I have the time).

Big, big, big fan of contemporary literature (not that sappy romance shit). 'Crimson Petal and the White' by Michel Faber captured my heart.

Everything. More towards British Alternative, very far away from Techno (and my God, Linkin Park).

      • About Me:

I don't know why I'm updating this once more, but perhaps I'm at that stage in my life where simple reckoning and unfulfilled reasoning have sparked this intense need to do something utterly random and very unworthwhile. Or maybe, it's the maternal instincts kicking in; wanting to preserve this dying art that is 'Friendster-ing'.

Long intros aside, I am obviously female and very Asian. I have passed off as Nepalese, Filipino, Thai, Viet and all varieties of Indo-Chinese ethnicity and I do hope that it's because of my Malay-Chinese features and not my haughty accent. Not that I think I have a cringe-worthy accent. Or a fake one either.

I'm studying in Australia and no, I have only seen one kangaroo in my entire 3 year stay. I like the weather here - my skin isn't oily at all and my hair falls down in an ordered, manageable fashion. In my free time, I like to think of academic strategies to pass my exams but none have been acted upon yet.

I am a confused and confusing person. I think I have a sense of humour but purists would claim that resurrecting jokes and over-emphasizing certain aspects of speech are simply invites for cheap laughs. Either way, I still get some chuckles. I'm not in anyway a girly girl - I do however wear make up and dress up in frilly skirts and such. I tend to meander towards male tendencies (without sounding too much like butch), as I do many things in a male-ish sort of way: without much thought and with much egoistical defence. And, predictably, I'm quite good at repairing things and dealing with all things IT. Come to think of it, I'm starting to question my...oh well, forget it.

I would love to ramble on a little more but I'm afraid my interest levels have waned into microscopic heights. Defying the laws of certain aesthetic conventions, I admit that I do loathe talking about myself. It's mildly criminal, a somewhat pollution of descriptions.

        Toodles then.

      • Who I Want to Meet:

I like intellectual discussions and people with a proper sense of humour.
