BROOKLYN KICKBALL 2005!
At Williamsburg, Brooklyn's lush McCARREN PARK
Here's a brief lowdown:
SUNDAY APRIL 17th
"Spring Training" Begins!!
Here's where new ballers can get aquainted with the league, and old ballers can get aquainted with the new ballers and reaquainted with each other. (wink wink) We shall convene at the Turkey's Nest (Bedford Ave. at N. 12th St., kitty-korner from McCarren Park) at 4pm for drinks and schmoozery. Then, from 6pm to 10pm, we storm the park for hour after glorious hour of pick-up kickball games. Form new allegiances or reunite old ones. We repeat this process for one more Sunday (April 24th). Then ...
SUNDAY, MAY 1st is OPENING DAY!!!
Teams will be formed by now BUT pick-up and new teams will ALWAYS BE WELCOME throughout the season. Expect some live rock jams and/or DJ dance antics for Opening Day. Also, coming during the season, Official Picture Day, a league pep rally (tentative date: 4/30), a Homecoming / Sadie Hawkins Dance (date TBA), official sign up desk, beer specials at the beloved Turkey's Nest, the new edition of the Brooklyn Kickballer and lots, lots more.
We have lots of surprises in store for this year, so start recruiting your teams.
Also, we're in need of some volunteers to help make all it can be:
* Web Designs - we could use a new site!
* Videographers/Editors - (BA's plate is full this year,so she seeks anyone who can help out -- come on, y'all love seeing your mugs on the interweb)
The first half of the season will run from April 17th to June 26th, every Sunday, from 6-10. The second half will begin 8/21 (tentative date) and run through Mid-October. There will be an all-star game versus Jersey (sometime in July) and of course, hot play-off action.

Far worse than any of those things, however, is
knowing it'll be 144 hours until I can next play
