Westwood Secondary School, established in 2000, has a cosmopolitan culture with an emphasis on building Confident Communicators for global challenges. Westwood's vision, ROOTED in character & relevant skills TO SOAR for the nation is driven by its mission of being the gateway to open pupils' minds for learning to flourish, to build men and women of integrity with caring hearts, and to nurture a spirit of resilience and adaptability.

Westwood was officially opened on 12 November 2002 by Dr Amy Khor, MP for Hong Kah GRC. Albeit its short history, Westwood has been featured publicly in the press for its innovative schoolwide language programmes, Stand & Deliver, and In-Touch, as well as its International Folk Dance(ID) programme. Westwood also held their first Aesthetics Concert - tæpistris - at the Victoria Concert Hall in 2008.
