It's never easy growing up, but after three years as a band, West Grand Boulevard can finally start to say they've begun to mature. With their distinctive mix of metal-tinged alternative rock and killer pop melodies, West Grand Boulevard continues to evolve from strength to strength with more sophisticated songwriting and arrangements, and honest, reflective lyrics.
West Grand Boulevard formed in February 2005 when founding members Erik, Dharma, and Jon (former WGB drummer) were looking to make music without boundaries. No genre fixations, no scenester intentions, just freedom to make whatever music they wanted, drawing from a vast array of musical influences and experiences ranging from classical music to metal and pop punk. Jude and Bryan quickly followed on bass and vocal duties, and Syed came onboard to take over percussion in 2006, becoming a steadfast part of the West Grand family.
With the removal of limitations constantly in the forefront of West Grand Boulevard's creative songwriting process, they have grown into a band without fear. West Grand Boulevard is bulldozing their way through crowds and critics alike with a furious determination to write honest music, and winning a loyal following in the process.
