About Me:
I am busy (unfortunately, I didn't say wealthy!) computer consultant for smaller businesses. I travel back and forth to Visalia, CA fairly frequently to help care for my elderly grandparents. Thank goodness much of my work can be done of-site by telephone or remote access via the Internet. I am also actively looking for some businesses in the Visalia, Tulare, Hanford, Dinuba, Lindsey, Porterville area that are looking for a big-city-class computer consultant/network administrator on a part-time basis. I'd like to make up some of my lost revenue while traveling, and it's a great opportunity for businesses looking for the kind of help that is hard (and expensive!) to find outside of a major metropolitan area. Our company only works with other businesses. Sorry, we don't do in-home computer work, unless it's clearly a professional business space that happens to be at your home. Most of our clients are professional offices including dentists/orthodontists and other doctors, real estate, and insurance. Other former and current clients are in the hospitality, light industrial, mail-order supply, and manufacturing industries. We have done work for wineries before, and would enjoy working with agricultural businesses, including farms and dairies. Non-profit organizations are another specialty, with a lot of experience working within their particularly tight budgets.
Though I'm obviously a bit of a computer geek, I enjoy meeting new people and getting to know them. I frequently strike up conversations with strangers in the supermarket or while riding the train, and it's fascinating to see the world through their eyes; I always learn something new. Besides computers, I enjoy travel (though commuting between Sacramento and Visalia is not exactly what I had in mind!). Growing up, I used to go camping and hiking pretty much every summer, but haven't been in several years, and I miss it. Walks along the beach have turned into walks along the American River. Spending time with my family and friends is probably what I spend most of my time doing when I'm not working. Well, that and eating and sleeping, which I also enjoy.
I'm passionate about people and causes that are dear to me. My personality type is an "ENFP", and if you know what that means, you probably will appreciate it. Oddly, I used to be an INFP, but over the last few years I have become much more extroverted. I'm not sure what caused the switch. Maybe it's just that I am more comfortable with myself, or maybe it's running a business. I'm a much deeper person than I let on. Even after you get to know me, you probably won't know the real me that well. I'm not hiding things from you; I'm just kind of a private sort of guy. Despite that, I love intense conversations about life, the universe, and everything.
I would love to make some new friends, especially in the Visalia area. I won't have much time to spend with friends while I'm there (let alone money unless I can find a few clients in Visalia), but it would be nice to spend a little time away from the grandparents, perhaps sipping some iced tea or something while making a new friend. And, since I'm single, who knows where that friendship could ultimately lead us. I'm also interested in making more Sacramento friends, too!
Feel free to message me, but don't invite me to view your photo site or offer me incredible new opportunities. I'm not going to sink my limited income into anything like that, and I am not going to join any groups you invite me to. If you're a real person, not a spam bot, then you know what I mean and you are welcome to contact me. My blog is at http://willmurray.name/. I'm not doing a very good job of keeping it updated, but you can still find out a lot more about me and my thoughts on several topics.
Thanks for reading my profile. Now write to me and say "hi" already! :-)

Life had us cross paths one summer.
I'll never forget when someone at work
asked if I was gay. My whole
sexuality was up in the air such that
I just said "no". If things had been
different we may have created a more
substantial friendship. I hope it can
go in that direction from here on out.
going to be all geeky and look down on
you, but hes actually super friendly
and fun to hang with. You taught me a
lot about computers and have a great
sense of humor and outlook on life.
Stay cool man!
