Tied in Chains

I cannot handle the pain, brought by the chain
I’m a monster that’s in vain, ultimately slain
Suffering I can’t sustain, hurt I can’t explain
Should I keep myself restrained? Or free myself from pain?

In a warm day of summer, I’ll be stronger
Will not be like my former, a weaker soldier
A dog without its master, left with no power
Lives in a lonely corner, tied in chains forever

But will I choose to be chained? Or will I complain?
These things that I maintain, causes serious pain
But they still make me regain, what I must obtain
It isn’t fair to detain, freedom, I need to gain

I can’t make myself suffer, and be a loner
Because these things take over, and guide me better
Directs me to be stronger – Divide and conquer!
They will meet their maker, and I’ll be the winner

But there’s a possibility, that it’ll kill me
Because of uncertainty, it’s bringing me
This chain that’s attached to me, binds me with harmony
Keeps me at where I should be, attaches me tightly

Things brought by my agony, makes me unhappy
For they made me look ugly, and gave insanity
What should overcome me? Please do not lie to me!
These chains that changes me, or my shaking body?

Here I am, tied in chains…
