      • In the winter of 2003, Xris dragged me to this gay bar so he could make out with this girl that he met at Old Navy who had recently lost some weight.

      • I read Xriss profile, and all your testimonials on him, and realize that there is a lot about him that I dont know. See, I really never have had the chance to get to know Xris, but I love him as much as or more than anyone of my blood. I say I never got to know Xris, but I knew him before the metamorphis back when he was Christopher John Thomas, and from your testimonials the qualities that made him the best friend a boy/ young man ever had are still there. A lot of people go through some powerfully tough experiences in life, and Ive had my share, but the toughest for me emotionally to this point in my lifewas when he and his family moved from 507 Jett Street to Metz Rd. in Cali back in the summer of 94. The friend I knew was awesome, caring, polite, very funny, and always fun. I dont think kids could ever have more fun or have a stronger friendship than we and our brothers did back in the days before the move. We would go frog hunting in nasty scum covered sewage, played

We spent days metal detecting for civil war relics, destroying shovels, shoes, (never forget when Nick lost his shoe in that freezing mud pit) and clothes, driving our mothers crazy looking for buried treasureand when we found it, ALWAYS split it up the booty like no adults would be ablewe came up with systems for dividing and sharing, even the biggest

We spent hours figuring out how to beat John Elway Quarterback on Sega Genesis, and once we did, having contests who could get the highest score. We would listen to Janet, The Body Guard, and Dangerous all night long, and then get up early to go fishing. How many other memories? Swimming at the pool, goofing off at school, dancing at school and church dances, spending the night at each others places almost every single Friday during the school year, and the summer time almost every single day. Our parents must have been going crazy, but they were always understanding and tolerant. There are so many memories I have of Chris and his friendship, too many to tell in one day as fun as it would be to try. Two of them that I will briefly share are: When my Mom was stuck in Germany, and my Sister became deathly ill again and had to be moved to the ER in Richmond, his mom took us in, and let us stay there.

      • I was swamped with taking care of my little siblings especially 8 month old Samantha. I had been unable to write a biology paper on Neanderthals (for Mr. Dayfield the terror of all 10th graders at Stafford Senior High School). Chris stayed up with me all night, despite it being a school night and helped me write it. Not only did he help me type it up ON A TYPE WRITER, but he kept me going when I would have otherwise quit and given upnot only that but he kept me laughing all night writing that paper so much so that I was sore in the morning with my face stuck in a smile. The other thing that I remember is that everyone seemed to think we were so much alike, our humor, vocab. etc seemed exactly the samewe certainly complimented each other with it, but we spent so much time together that you can hardly wonder whyanyways we had the same Spanish TeacherSenora McClung, (but were in separate classes) and had to look for an article on a Latin American Country, and then write a one page

      • summary. Chris and I would use the same article every week, but would write it separatelythat is until we both got our papers back with our grades marked down from A+ to Bs with the note Your wording is too much like Camillo Thomass homework, and he getting the note Your wording is too much like Roberto Dennings homework. We always liked to joke around when we did our homework, trouble was on this occaision we put the same jokes in the same places when writing the homework. I still have the paper today to serve as a Memory. There is not a day that goes by that I dont think or talk about Xris to my boys, about how they should be as good friends to each other as Chris was to me. One of my biggest regrets in life to this point is that we have not remained closer than we have. Between me going to school out west, serving two years as a missionary, doing my thing with the Army, getting married and doing the fatherhood thingI just dont know how it can be any different, but

      • there is a hole in my heart because of it. I look forward to the time when we can hang together and our kids (when you have them) can play. There is so much I want to writelike the one hundred page letters and daily letters I sent to you when you were in Cali (before your mom said not to make them so large cause she was sick of paying for extra postage), but I dont think that this friendster site will let me. Just know that I have always thought of you as my best friend and always will. You were a caring/forgiving (I did some real stupid things growing up)/quality person of high morals, the type of person I hope my daughter can find and marry, and the type of person I hope my three boys grow up to be. Maybe soon I will have the kind of cash flow to buy you another plane ticket to come out and visit meremember when it was time for you to go home and you accidentally missed the planeand we got two more days to hang? We were so pumpedit was awesome! Later, Your Friend Always CLD
