      • I can never seem to forget Zach's french accent and his bowl cut. I used to go to the French Patisserie on Clement Street to get my warm gooey chocolate chop cookie fix and to catch his shy smile behind the counter.

      • how exciting it was to see that head of
blonde locks pop up last saturday after
        the time gap that passed.

      • Great cook, reputed to be hot in bed,
great taste in wine, funny stories. Sort
of a good driver, not sure, I was too
drunk most of the time to really judge,
but I lived through all the rides. Also,
just a big heart. Does yoga. Cares about
the world, the US, etc., not in the
annoying way, though. Go on, click.

      • so, not only is he hot, brilliant,
willing and able to change the
world, and aloof in an entirely
        acceptable way... he can also
        throw, seriously, the best dinner
        parties ever. really, no expense
        spared, break out the china,
        dandelion greens and duck. he's
        utterly amazing.

      • I have as of late begun to question
Zachary S.'s commitment to the cause.
Time was I could have counted on him
really to help me sock it to the man.
Remember that time we tried to bomb the
federal building only to find that our
bus passes had expired? Good times. Or
that one night when we broke into that
big mansion in Beverly Hills and killed
        all those people, including Roman
Polanski's young pregnant wife? Oh wait
        - that wasn't us. That would have been
rad, though, huh? We would have really
sent a message. Now about all the
radicalism that I can eek out of him is
drinking two bottles of cabernet between
us in his tragically bo-bo apartment,
then taking it to the streets with pints
of Sierra, whereupon we get into
        politically motivated slugfests in mid
WeHo fag bars. I blame it on law
school. Now he's talking about interest
rates and getting his adopted kids into
        really top drawer preschools. Next
thing you know he'll be banging chicks
        again.

      • he's come a long way, baby! zach is
a good person, a damn fine chef,
and an excellent drinking pal. i
especially adore zach because in a
crowd full of beautiful men, he can
(and will) stop and deconstruct /
dissect the crazy world around us.
and yes, he belongs in new york.

      • A few years ago I spent a night in Brooklyn trying to get this sassy blond home with me to take off his clothes. It really should have worked but in any case, I did make a friend, and one I value enormously. Zach's a fantastic cook, sort of James Bond meets the Food Channel or something, smart, funny, wry, full of good humor even when he's in a terrible, terrible mood (he never misses an opportunity to self-dramatize). He's a triple-threat---good writer, good laugh, good martini. I remember talking to him on the phone the night Kerry lost, and he had been out campaigning for him right until the end, out of state, and I thought of how beautiful it is in someone to care enough to put it all on the line like that. That's Zach.
