I <i>love</i> good short fairy tales like: The Shape-Changer's Wife, The Reluctant Dragon, The Phantom Tollbooth, Farmer Giles of Ham, and The Last Unicorn. Everything in the "classic literature" section. Newbery winners. Most fantasy. Most humorists, particularly P.G. Wodehouse. I've read more books than you can shake a 10-foot pole at.

Amelie, anything from Studio Ghibli, Lola Rent, My Sassy Girl, LOTR, Stargate, most comedies (romantic and otherwise), most kung fu/action, most old movies.

Never ask a musician this question. That's like asking a chef "what's your favorite spice?" Narrow it down to maybe "neo-classical pianist" or "avante-garde jazz combo" and a musician will be able to list a handful of favorites. But just "music" and all you will get is an uncomprehending stare or a large list full of disclaimers.
